The Cleveland Cavaliers have a strong and promising core that could become a powerhouse in the Eastern Conference for years to come.
Some believe that coach J.B. Bickerstaff has held them back with his rotations, and he did look way over his head in last year’s postseason.
Nonetheless, it seems like he has the full support of his players, from the stars to the undrafted guys working his way up the rotation.
That was evident in a clip shared by the Cavs on Twitter in which undrafted rookie Craig Porter Jr. praises him for being a ‘phenomenal’ coach.

Porter Jr. signed a two-way contract with the Cavaliers, alternating time between the first team and the Cleveland Charge of the G-League.
He comes with plenty of experience at the collegiate level, playing for Vincennes and winning the NJCAA national champion before transferring to spend three years at Wichita State, where he made Third-team All-AAC in his final season.
The Cavs could use his boost off the bench, as well as fellow two-way player Emoni Bates, who was once considered to be the best player in his class.
The Cavs have done a solid job in terms of young player development over the past couple of years, and that also speaks volumes of Bickerstaff’s coaching.
Even so, he could be walking on thin ice if the Cavs fail to get past the first round of the playoffs this season, especially with all the uncertainty about Donovan Mitchell’s future with the team as well.
